Created by Unity Collective, Piece of History (POH) are NFT collections designed to capture and preserve key moments from each day of the year. Each piece in the collection represents a pivotal event that really happened, encapsulating a snapshot of global history across various categories such as politics, health, sports, and societal events. With each NFT styled as a newspaper front page, the concept blends concise reporting with striking visuals—offering collectors a unique way to own a piece of history. Through digital art and blockchain technology, POH bridges the gap between history and the future, creating a lasting, accessible archive of moments that shaped our world—and now, you can own a piece of it. Our first edition, POH23, made of 365 pieces, was launched on Stargaze, and set the foundation for a community-powered art economy.

By soft staking their POH23 NFTs on Necrovault, holders earn our native token, $POH, which grants access to monthly raffle events where exclusive rewards are distributed to the community.

60% of all mint proceeds and trading fees are reinvested into valuable NFT assets, including blue-chip collections on Stargaze and T7S case NFTs. These assets are redistributed through raffles, with tickets available exclusively via the $POH token. Raffle prizes are automatically distributed to winners, and T7S cases can be opened directly on thesevens.app. Prices are also distributed through events on our X account and discord server. The remaining 40% supports our USDC treasury, used to cover essential operations such as web hosting, collection launches, Necrovault annual fees, artist promotion, and marketing.

The creation of the “Piece of History” collection begins with careful research and curation. For each day of the year, top global news stories are selected, focusing on a wide range of categories—from political shifts to cultural breakthroughs, natural disasters, and sports highlights. Headlines, subheadlines, and concise reports are crafted by our team to capture the essence of these events, presenting a snapshot of how the world evolved over the course of the year. For the visual component, the collection draws on two main sources: AI-Generated Images: These are custom-created to match the tone and content of the news, providing each NFT with a distinctive and original visual representation. Public Domain Images: When applicable, photos from public domain sources are used, especially when the events have widely recognized imagery. This ensures authenticity and legality in the visual content.

The NFT images are either AI-generated or sourced from the public domain, which ensures no copyright issues. All content is either original (created through AI tools without replicating existing works) or freely available for public use. This approach guarantees that the collection can be integrated smoothly into the blockchain space without infringing on intellectual property rights, maintaining full compliance with legal requirements. By combining technology, art, and history, Piece of History offers a new medium for preserving the most memorable events of the world, available both as digital collectibles and immersive gallery experiences.
